JUNE BLOOM

Here in CA where I live the weather is such that the month is called June gloom. The sun rarely shines with overcast skies most of the time.

If you are like me, the weather tends to affect your mood. On a sunny day, I want to be at the beach. On a rainy day, I want to curl up with a cup of tea and a book. On a really cold day, I want to sit near a cozy fire with hot chocolate.

A wise woman gave me a quote a while back. 'You will not always be motivated so you must learn to be disciplined'. I sound disciplined don’t I? I know what I want when I want it. LOL!

Actually, no. We may know what we want but if we don’t actually do it. We are then not fulfilled and gloomy.

In other words, if we want our projects to be complete, we must discipline ourselves. This way we can bloom! 🌻 Similar to a garden.

More importantly, only plant what you can tend to, likewise, only take on projects that you can tend to. Tending to yourself as if it is your garden. Plant what you want to enjoy.

Instead of June being the month of gloom, I'm going to see it as the month of bloom-June Bloom. I am going to see the clouds that accompany the gloomy overcast as blocking out the world reminding me to tend to myself. This way I can bloom when the sun comes out in July!

-The Ever Evolving Mother

P.S. I will discuss the weeds in a future writing. Just know that not all weeds are bad. AH!
