DOES WORK MAKE YOU HEALTHIER?

It seems to reason, there IS exercise involved in muscles and brain activity. When you’re happy you’re healthier. Consider bees and why there is a saying ‘busy as a bee’. They love making honey. Do you love making money?

If not, take the time to evaluate how you work and whether you are working in the field you enjoy. No, we can’t all tell our boss take this job and shove it. I ain’t working here no more. However, you can take control of your emotions and some of your work environment. The pandemic has obviously put a kink in how we work. With this change, let’s take the opportunity to make working happily part of the new norm.

During this transition, what can you do? Walk to the water cooler to refill your water bottle. Doubtful there will be many disposables left around to hold ‘unmentionables’. Whether you walk to the water cooler or walk to your kitchen sink, walking to fill your water bottle is important. Water purifies your body. Stepping away from the desk gives your mind a break and circulates your blood to improve your heart and lungs.

There is research on giving your brain a break just as there is research on keeping your brain active. Meditating is mindful brain inactivity. Rethink the definition of work so you can live healthier doing what you love even into retirement. Tending to the beehive will ensure enough money for some honey.

HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU FILL YOUR WATER BOTTLE (and mind) IN A DAY?
