During this transition, what can you do? Walk to the water cooler to refill your water bottle. Doubtful there will be many disposables left around to hold ‘unmentionables’. Whether you walk to the water cooler or walk to your kitchen sink, walking to fill your water bottle is important. Water purifies your body. Stepping away from the desk gives your mind a break and circulates your blood to improve your heart and lungs.
There is research on giving your brain a break just as there is research on keeping your brain active. Meditating is mindful brain inactivity. Rethink the definition of work so you can live healthier doing what you love even into retirement. Tending to the beehive will ensure enough money for some honey.
