DARING GREATLY

It’s a spooky feeling to do something you know has to be done.

But once you’ve done it, you feel stronger.  Right!?

As we put up the decorations, rsvp for events, and purchase gifts,

We hear a howl with all the tasks clamoring for our attention.

I offer you a bewitching perspective this season

on how to make it through the holidays.

Ok, first the elections.

I am lending you a hand…

to hold sometimes,

to nudge you a little at times,

and to wave my finger indicating

Oh no girlfriend, there is no turning back now!

This season is like no other.

Decorations are displayed sooner so you buy more sooner.

I just wish ballots came out sooner.

I have dared greatly this summer

hosting strategic planning sessions to evolve my non-profit.

It has been a scary time feeling as though I have to implement everything.

Another one of those ‘be careful what you ask for’ situations.

I am fortunate to have surrounded myself with a motivated compassionate team.

Now to navigate these creative ideas with kindness and courage.

It is not easy to lead patiently and calmly all the time.

It is my hope that I lead patiently and calmly most of the time.

Join me during this spooky time by practicing the beatitudes and by casting your ballot.

Let’s evolve together, lending each other a hand, and surrounding ourselves with people that encourage us to be our best self.

Dare Greatly.  –The Evolving Mother
